Technical Tour

The technical tour this year will visit Daesung CSP Tower System in the morning and then three different touristic sites in the region, which you can choose when booking the tour.

Option 1: Gyeongju UNESCO 1 Price: 70,000 won (Including lunch), returning 18:20

Daesung CSP Tower System


The system uses 450 heliostats (reflecting mirrors) to concentrate sunlight at the top of the tower. The solar receiver at the top generates the heat source of thermal energy (700~1,000℃), and with the energy, the electric power generating system produces 200 kW electricity.

Lunch - LeePungnyeo Guro Ssambap /Gyodong Ssambap
Ssambap means rice wrapped in leaves. These leaves can be any edible leaves that are fresh or lightly steamed, and large enough to wrap rice and condiments. “Ssambap Jeongsik” includes various leaves with various dipping sauces, several side dishes, soup or stew and some stir fried meat.

Cheonmachong Tumulus
The name "Cheonmachong" means Heavenly Horse Tomb. It was built in the style of Silla. The tomb was excavated in 1973 and is believed to date from the late fifth century or early sixth century CE.

Gyeongju National Museum
Gyeongju National Museum is loved by visitors and residents alike as it houses numerous historical and cultural artifacts of the Silla Dynasty. Gyeongju National Museum not only strives to preserve, exhibit, and research the rich history and culture of Silla, but it also strives to take a leap forward to become a cultural multi-complex center.

Bulguksa Temple
Bulguksa Temple is the representative relic of Gyeongju and was designated as a World Cultural Asset by UNESCO in 1995. The beauty of the temple itself and the artistic touch of the stone relics are known throughout the world.

Gyeongju Kyochon Village
This is a traditional hanok style village that represents ancient culture and history of Korea and the Silla Dynasty. Not only that, but for me I felt there was a greater sense of energy in comparison to other traditional villages that are much more tranquil than energetic.

Dinner – Ssukbu Jaengi
Namul (Korean: 나물) refers to either a variety of edible grass or leaves or seasoned herbal dishes made of them. For namul as a dish, virtually any type of vegetable, herb, or green can be used, and the ingredient includes roots, leaves, stems, seeds, sprouts, petals, and fruits. Some seaweeds and mushrooms, and even animal products such as beef tendons are also made into namuls.

Donggung Palace & Wolji Pond
Donggung Palace & Wolji Pond is the site of detached palace of Silla, as residence for the prince and venue for the feast on happy occasions or for honored guests. When Gyeonwhon invaded Silla, King Gyeongsun of Silla invited Wang Geon, the founder of Goryo, and gave him a feast in 931 to plea for the urgent situation.

 the chub mackerel is a healthy meal, high in protein and rich in omega-3 and unsaturated fatty acids.  For the most part, it is eaten fresh, but can be seen pickled or frozen. In Sicilian cuisine, it is also served filleted and raw, marinated in oil, lemon, salt, and pepper. Jorim is a Korean dish made with tofu, vegetables, meat and seafood. Mackerel is also one of the most popular foods for Koreans as jorim.
Jjimdak: Andong-jjimdak (안동찜닭) is a variety of jjim (a Korean steamed or boiled dish), which originated in the city of Andong, Gyeongsangbuk-do Province and is made with chicken, various vegetables marinated in a ganjang(Korean soy sauce) based sauce. The name literally means "steamed chicken of Andong."

Hahoe Village  - mask dance performance
Hahoe Mask Dance Drama Performance has 800 years of tradition, featuring a performance dealing with daily life and the conflict between the common people with the privileged class of Yangban (noblemen) and Seonbi (Classical scholar).
